At its March 21 meeting, SGC discussed how the it can support the MLK Scholar and First-Gen Programs, as end the COVID-19 health survey requirement. 
The findings of The Ithacan Diversity Report shows that 33.4% of The Ithacans board is represented by persons of color (BIPOC) and 51.9% of the board identify as heterosexual.

Maria DiFrancesco, professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, will become the director of the Exploratory Program starting January 2020. She will be taking over the position from Elizabeth Bleicher, interim chair of the Department of Education and current director of the Exploratory Program.

Next semester East Tower will be home to the First Place and Language House residential learning communities and a sophomore living space. The college currently has 10 RLCs.
