Women in Math Day held in person for the first time since COVID-19 pandemic

thaca College’s Women in Math Day was held March 2 for the first time in person since the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was organized by Megan Martinez and Ted Galanthay, associate professors in the Department of Mathematics. 
Approximately 30 participants attended the event, including three professors in the Department of Mathematics, four career panelists, seven Ithaca College student volunteers majoring in math, and high school and middle school students, mainly from local schools.

Women in Math Day encourages young girls to pursue math

Women in Math Day was held Feb. 5 virtually through Zoom in an effort to encourage young girls interested in STEM fields to pursue math.
