Ithaca College political clubs host forum to bolster membership

Ithaca College’s four political organizations hosted a forum aimed at bolstering club membership and helping interested students better understand which clubs’ ideology best aligns with their personal political stance.
The app, called GET Mobile, will be made available for students at the college on mobile devices and through an online portal. It is slated to be released January 2016 in time for the spring semester.

Hayes told the audience firsthand accounts of her experiences with “broken and fractured systems” — organizations like municipalities, nonprofits and developers that failed to address racial and socioeconomic problems within their respective communities. A main focus of the talk was race, and racial issues were very closely intertwined with much of Hayes’ work.

New 3-D printer and scanner broadens opportunities for students

Over the summer, the School of Humanities and Sciences added a third 3-D printer to its existing fleet. The new printer and its accompanying scanner will allow students and staff members across a wide academic spectrum easier access to 3-D replication equipment.
2,977 flags were placed on the Academic Quad Sept. 11 to commemorate the lives lost in 2001. Student political clubs collaborated on the creation of the display.

Student political organizations prepare for election season
