While many know about the Cortaca Jug between Ithaca College and Cortland football, the Cortaca Tub between the two college’s swimming and diving programs is another annual rivalry that made its return to the water Nov. 9.

Men’s swim and dive challenges its adversaries

Coming off a fifth consecutive second place finish in the Liberty League Championship Tournament last season, the Ithaca College men’s swimming and diving team is looking to rely on mental strength and a selfless squad to challenge the daunting Rochester Institute of Technology this season.

Women’s swim and dive overpowers its opponents

Despite having no pool in the pre-season, the Ithaca College women’s swimming and diving team has started the regular season off strong with a 3-1 record so far — demonstrating that the Bombers are ready to compete for a sixth straight Liberty League Championship win.

Football leads winning charge for Bombers’ academic break

The Ithaca College men's soccer team stumbled with back-to-back losses, but women's soccer, field hockey, football, volleyball, cross-country and swimming and diving shined, delivering dominant performances and setting the tone for a successful fall break.
The Ithaca College men's and women's swimming and diving team competed in the 2023 Liberty League Championships from Feb. 15–18. In the 2024 season, they went beyond their results breaking nine team records and a pool record.

Bombers shatter multiple records at the Liberty League championships

During a week of fierce competition, the Ithaca College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams displayed remarkable dominance. The women’s team came up on top among nine teams, while the men’s team just missed first place, trailing the Rochester Institute of Technology by a mere 72 points.
Junior diver Kailee Payne transferred from Division l Marshall University to Ithaca College for her junior season. Payne held the 1-meter dive record at Marshall University and was named Conference USA Freshman Diver of the Year.

Record breaking diver reconnects with sport through community

This season junior diver Kailee Payne has been dominating on the diving board, breaking the pool record at the Henry Kumpf Invitational on Jan. 20 with a score of 306.55 points in the 1-meter dive.
