Newly tenured IC professors do not include POC at IC’s picks

The list of professors at Ithaca College who were awarded tenure for 2015–16 was announced Feb. 21. However, missing from the list were the names of the professors that POC at IC demanded be given immediate tenure.

IC student teaches program for future generation of leaders

There need to be leaders in the school and people that can lead by example, so to get those students that are true leaders to be an example for other students is key.
Several faculty in the Department of Education contributed to the creation of the education studies minor, which integrates anthropology, philosophy, politics, psychology, sociology and women’s and gender studies.

Local Black Lives Matter event draws new people into movement

“Black lives matter.” “I can’t breathe.” “No justice, no peace, no racist police.” Around 300 people chanted these phrases during a Black Lives Matter solidarity march Oct. 24 that started from the Bernie Milton Pavilion on The Commons and went down Seneca and Tioga Streets to Beverly J. Martin Elementary School.
