“You can study through books, but by personal experiences, you get to master it,” he said. “The books won’t show you the language of the street. You need to go out and, for example, learn slang. These communities would help with the oral component.”
Beginning in Fall 2015, the Office of Residential Life will be introducing a new Residential Learning Community on campus in an attempt to provide an educational experience for students where they can learn from each other’s religious beliefs and begin conversations on religion and faith.
Fall 2014 Housing selection sparked frustrations among some students, but the Office of Residential Life has offered some remedies for these concerns.
