Ithaca College will add three new minors in the fall

The Park School will offer an animation minor, and H&S will offer linguistics and translation minors. The three minors will include classes that are new to the college and classes that already exist.
Graduate fellows and undergraduate interns collaborate at the summer 2015 workshop for a master’s program combining writing and photography. This initiative is one of several new programs in the Ithaca College School of Humanities and Sciences.

Ithaca College H&S school expands program opportunities

By increasing collaborative efforts, the Ithaca College School of Humanities and Sciences is expanding the number and nature of its programs to attract different kinds of students and offer more diverse opportunities.
Students in the honors program visited Ottawa, Canada Feb. 22, 2014. This year students travelled back to Ottawa Jan. 26 during its winter festival. The program sponsors at least one major cultural trip each semester.

Ithaca College honor students find issues with program changes

Students who live in the Sustainability Community, now known as the Organic Gardening and Cooking Community, cook food from the organic gardens on campus, including the one on the roof of Terrace Dining Hall that was planted in the Fall.

The third of four finalists for the position of dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences came to Ithaca College on Dec. 8 to do interviews and meet with administrators, faculty, staff and students. Heather Lobban-Viravong, associate dean and associate professor of English at Grinnell College, interviewed to replace Leslie Lewis.
Several faculty in the Department of Education contributed to the creation of the education studies minor, which integrates anthropology, philosophy, politics, psychology, sociology and women’s and gender studies.
