On April 19 at Higgins Stadium, the Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team is tied with Clarkson University 10-10 with 20 seconds remaining. It is Senior Day, and the Bombers are one win away from snapping their playoff drought of three seasons.
For the first time since 2021, the Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team will dance in the Liberty League Championship Tournament because the Bombers won an 11-10 thriller over the Clarkson University Golden Knights on April 19.Â
The Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team suffered its first home loss of the season to the Hamilton College Continentals on March 25, snapping the Bombers’ five-game win streak.Â
During the Spring 2024 lacrosse season, Ithaca College graduate student midfielder Kyle Savery transitioned from a player to a coach for a year, but not by choice. Savery suffered a devastating ACL injury during a captain’s practice in August 2023, moving him to the sidelines. For Spring 2025, Savery has returned to the field, and it is like he never left.Â
The Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team earned its first Liberty League Championship Tournament victory of the year, defeating the Vassar College Brewers 13-6 March 22, extending its winning streak to five games. Junior midfielder Cullen Adams led the way for the Bombers with three goals, continuing the wave of momentum the Bombers offense is riding.
The Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team extended its home winning streak to five games, dismantling the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles 25-6 March 19. This was the teams’ first matchup since 1980, when the Bombers won 23-11. Junior attacker Brendan Occhino had the best game in his career as a Bomber, scoring a career-high ten points for the Bombers.Â
The Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team earned its second win in a row March 1, defeating the Widener University Pride 16-4. Sophomore midfielder/attacker Lucas Proctor scored a career-high four goals in this game, propelling the Bombers to a dominant victory on a day when the real feel hit single digits.
The Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team earned its first win of the season Feb. 26, defeating the SUNY Geneseo Knights 15-6. Junior goalkeeper Andrew Minard recorded 15 saves in the dominant win.Â
The Bombers fourth-quarter comeback bid came to no avail as the No. 3 Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers held on to defeat the Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team 16–10 on April 10.Â

With the 2024 season on the horizon, the Ithaca men’s lacrosse team has been preparing to enter a new era. After over 30 years at the helm, former head coach Jeff Long stepped down on June 1, 2023, and was replaced by Tommy Pearce.
The Tommy Pearce era has officially arrived in South Hill, with the new head coach of the Ithaca Bombers men’s lacrosse team opening up the season with a 12–10 victory over the St. John Fisher Cardinals on Feb. 25.Â
