Ithaca College students will be able to utilize ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft next academic year due to a budget provision passed in the New York State Budget.

Ride-hailing services to come to Ithaca this summer

The New York state budget, approved April 10, authorized ride-hailing services like Uber and Lyft to begin operating across New York this summer.
Cornell University junior Brian Schiff developed the app with the help of a friend and an advisor. The app was piloted successfully this summer and is now expanding to the Ithaca area and Syracuse University.

New bus service runs nonstop from Ithaca to New York City

A new bus service that runs nonstop from Ithaca to New York City is now operational. The Big Red Bullet is an alternative to other bus companies like Greyhound, Short Line, and Cornell University’s Campus-to-Campus bus.
