The women’s tennis team fell to the University of Rochester 9–0 in its first match after spring break April 2.
The Bombers walked away without winning a single set against the regionally ranked Yellowjackets.
Rochester swept all three doubles matches with scores of 8–0, 8–1 and 8–3.
The closest match of the day was in first singles played between junior Haley Kusak and the Yellowjackets senior Christine Ho with scores of 6–4, 7–6 and 7–4 in a tiebreaker.
Freshman Caroline Dunn fought hard in her singles match and came close to winning her second set in third singles. Dunn ultimately lost with scores of 6–2 and 7–5.
The Blue and Gold will play next against SUNY New Paltz at 3 p.m. April 8 in New Paltz, New York.
