Public Safety investigates Rowland Hall burglary

The Office of Public Safety is investigating a report that someone stole two laptop computers from an occupied but unsecured Rowland Hall dorm room this afternoon.

According to the email alert sent out by Public Safety on Friday, a complainant said someone entered the room and stole the laptops between noon and 2:30 p.m. today, but there was no sign of forced entry.

Thomas Dunn, an investigator with the Office of Public Safety, said Tuesday that the investigation into the burglary is still ongoing.

On Sept. 22, the Office of Public Safety issued an email alert after a complainant reported that someone entered a Clarke Hall dorm room and stole a laptop computer between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sept. 21. Dunn said the Office of Public Safety could not yet confirm or deny whether the two incidents are related.
