SUMMARY: Tompkins County 911 reported a person having a seizure. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Patrol Officer Steven Hutchison responded and a report was completed.

LOCATION: Hilliard Hall / 280 Lyceum Drive

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown person damaged a Wi-Fi router on 02/24/2024. Patrol Officer Steven Hutchison responded. This is a pending investigation.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a generator leaked oil. The area was cleaned. Environmental Safety Specialist Mark Ross responded and a report was completed.

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by burnt food. Master Patrol Officer Robert Jones responded and the alarm activation was determined to be accidental.

SUMMARY: An officer reported persons started a fire on a balcony. Two people were referred to conduct. Sergeant John Elmore responded and the persons were referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

SUMMARY: Officer completed the report for the fire on the balcony. Sergeant John Elmore responded and the report was completed.

LOCATION: F-Lot / 100 Block Conservatory Drive

SUMMARY: Parking services reported a vehicle with a fraudulent ADA parking permit. One person referred to conduct. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis responded and the person responsible was referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

LOCATION: Athletic and Events Center / 150 Lyceum Drive

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person crying hysterically and hitting their head. Patrol Officer Matthew Patire responded and determined the person was not an imminent threat to themselves. Patire investigated and a report was completed.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person feeling ill and vomited. The person declined medical assistance. Patrol Officer Matthew Patire responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a wallet was found and turned over to Public Safety. A fictitious license was located and a person was referred to conduct. Patrol Officer Joe Cloke responded and the person responsible was referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

SUMMARY: Caller reported person was taken into custody under mental hygiene law and transported by ambulance to the hospital. Ithaca Police Officer Jack Nelson responded and a report was completed.

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a carbon dioxide detector alarm. The activation was caused by a downdraft. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded and the alarm was determined to be accidental.

FIRE ACTUAL FIRE / FLAME / IGNITION

LOCATION: Holmes Hall / 288 Lyceum Drive

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The alarm was caused by burned clothes in a dryer. A fire extinguisher was used to put out the fire. Patrol Officer Ivan Cruz responded and a report was completed.

SUMMARY: Clothes were reported after being damaged during a fire in a dryer. Patrol Officer Ivan Cruz responded and a report was completed.

SUMMARY: Caller reported while conducting sprinkler inspections a propane tank, lighter fluid and other combustible materials were found. Six persons were referred for fire safety offenses. Charlie Sherman, fire and building safety coordinator, referred the persons to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The alarm activation was caused by water dripping onto the device. Patrol Officer Steven Hutchison responded and the alarm activation was determined to be accidental.

SUMMARY: Caller reported person stole apple charging cables. One person was taken into custody for trespass and petit larceny. Patrol Officer Kevin McClain responded and the person responsible was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Ithaca Court.

SUMMARY: Caller reported person made alarming statements. The person was not an imminent threat to themselves or others. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis responded and the task was completed.

SUMMARY: Caller reported oil leaking from a vehicle. EH&S reported the spill was contained and cleaned up. Environmental Safety Specialist Mark Ross responded and a report was completed.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a vehicle struck a traffic bollard and left the area. Officer reported no damage found to the bollard or vehicle. Patrol Officer Alex Hitchcock responded and determined that the incident is unfounded.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

SUMMARY: Student conduct reported two persons referred for unlawful possession of marijuana. Master Security Officer Amy Noble responded and the persons responsible were referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

SUMMARY: Caller reported an unknown person removed several screws from a door latch to prevent the door from locking. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis responded. This is a pending investigation.

SUMMARY: Caller reported an unresponsive person in a bathroom. The person was referred for irresponsible use of alcohol. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May responded and the person responsible were referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

SIMMARY: Caller reported person feeling light headed. The person was escorted to the Health Center. Charlie Sherman, fire and building safety coordinator, responded and the person was provided assistance.
