1. Cornell Law’s Avon Global Center for Women and Justice and the International Human Rights Clinic hosted a presentation by Ethiopian human-rights activists Wesenyelesh Admasu Bezabih and Meseret Mamo Kombolcha on Thursday afternoon. The presentation, titled “Disability and Gender in Ethiopia: A Conversation with Two Ethiopian Women,” focused on how disability intersects with gender in respect to human rights. 2. A bicyclist was seriously injured yesterday after colliding with a parked vehicle on East Seneca Street. According to the Ithaca Police Department, the biker sustained lacerations to the leg and a head injury. The bicyclist was taken to a regional trauma center by Guthrie Air Medical Helicopter.
3. Tompkins, Cayuga and Seneca counties are currently seeking public comments on the Draft Cayuga Lake Blueway Trail Plan. The draft plan analyzes the conditions along the lakeshore for paddlers and boaters and proposes locations for short and long-term improvements. If approved, the plan will develop an additional 29 access point along the lakeshore. The public can submit comments on the plan’s website until Nov. 15.

1. IC Voicestream is having its Block I concert 8 p.m. Saturday in Emerson Suites.
2. The Downtown Ithaca Alliance is celebrating the Second Annual Ithaca Oktoberfest 2–6 p.m. Saturday at Kilpatrick’s Publick House. The event will feature live music, local food vendors and a best beer competition among local breweries.
3. Go see the Bombers’ football team take on St. John Fisher College at 1 p.m. Saturday at Butterfield Stadium.

1. The Macabre Theatre Ensemble will produce “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at 9 p.m. and midnight on Friday and Saturday in Williams 225. Read our review of the show here.
2. IC After Dark presents its free Halloween-themed carnival at 8 p.m. Saturday in Klingenstein Lounge, Clark Lounge and McDonald Lounge.
3. This weekend is your last chance to go on Ithaca History Tour’s Haunted Ithaca Tour. Tours are held 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. every Friday and Saturday in October. A Haunted Lake Tour will also be offered 4 p.m. Saturday.
4. The First Presbyterian Church will hold its free Halloween Spooktacular Organ Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday.
5. Americana Winery will hold its 11th Annual Hallo-Wine Spooktacular at 8 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature a costume contest with the theme “Ghouls and Gatsby.”
