When the Ithaca College wrestling team returned to campus this fall, the practice room was more crowded than normal. However, there is still familiarity in the room — on top of the new athletes, there are five new assistant coaches, four of whom were athletes on the team last season.
The No. 18 Ithaca College football team traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts on Nov. 18, for a first-round matchup with the Springfield College Pride. After coming out victorious over the Pride in the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2022, the Bombers once again proved their dominance with a 21–7 win to survive and advance.Â
On Oct. 14, the Ithaca College men’s swim and dive team returned to the pool, earning themselves a big win over the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Engineers and Hobart College Statesmen, with their sights set yet again on dethroning defending Liberty League champion, the Rochester Institute of Technology.

The Ithaca College men’s indoor track & field squad is coming off a strong 2023 indoor season that saw it finish third in the Liberty League and 14th in the NCAA national championships. While its strong performance was the story of last season, its youth will be the story of this one.
The Ithaca College volleyball program is in the midst of a historic dominant stretch. The team has compiled an overall record of 23–4, winning all eight matches against Liberty League opponents this season, including 24 of its 25 sets played.Â
After finishing in sixth place at the 2023 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championships, where three Bombers earned All-American athletic honors, the Ithaca College gymnastics team is gearing up for a new season.
As fall sports have started to come to an end, the Bombers have been getting a kick-start on their training for the 2023–24 indoor track and field season. After losing key athletes such as pentathlete Logan Bruce ’23 and pole vaulter Megan Matheny ’23, the team must adjust to the new team dynamic.Â
After a 60-minute defensive battle, the Ithaca College field hockey team fell, 1–0, to the reigning the William Smith College Herons in the Liberty League championship on Nov 5.
After a 2–1 victory Oct. 22 in Poughkeepsie, the Ithaca College field hockey team rematched the Vassar College Brewers in the Liberty League semifinal game on Nov. 3 at Higgins Stadium. The Bombers expanded on their previous one-point advantage, besting the Brewers in a dominant, 3–0, showing.

The Ithaca College women’s lacrosse team set out into the night this Halloween, collecting canned food for a local community center and bringing their caring attitudes along the way.Â
The team boasts a strong defensive squad up the roster, but the leader of the defense has been junior goalkeeper Grace Hickey. So far this season, Hickey posts a 9–2–4 record and has only allowed six goals, adding 10 shutouts to her statistics.
The 1–0 victory over the University of Rochester improved the team’s post-regulation record to a perfect 4–0; the first time the team has ever gone undefeated during extra time in program history.
