On a frigid and gray Saturday afternoon, the Ithaca College women’s soccer team took the field for its final regular season game against the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers on Nov. 2. The Bombers consistently capitalized on gaps in the Engineers’ defense, securing a first-place finish in the Liberty League with a 3-0 win.
The Ithaca College men's soccer team stumbled with back-to-back losses, but women's soccer, field hockey, football, volleyball, cross-country and swimming and diving shined, delivering dominant performances and setting the tone for a successful fall break.
Graduate student midfielder Sarah Sinnott came to Ithaca College after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh to obtain her masters in mental performance, with a concentration in sports psychology. She became a standout player for the Bombers’ women's soccer team, bringing her experience and the force of Division I play to the Division III field.Â
The Ithaca College women’s soccer team scored another three points in the Liberty League in its win against the William Smith College Herons. The first goal was scored within ten minutes of the start, but the rest of the game remained scoreless.
As fall sports get the ball rolling, the Ithaca College women’s soccer team has its sights set on another Liberty League Championship title after a disappointing end to its 2023 campaign.Â
The Ithaca College women’s soccer team dominated from the very first touch at their game Aug. 30 under the lights at Butterfield Stadium. Junior midfielder Kaelyn Fernandez led the way with two of the Bombers’ six first half goals in their commanding 6-0 victory against the Elmira College.
Ithaca College athletics wrapped up its fall season with many achievements under each squad's belt. Football, field hockey and sophomore Kyla Eisman of women's cross country made it into NCAA tournament play.
On Oct. 24, the Ithaca College women’s soccer team took on the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers at Carp Wood Field where both benches were electric from the start.Â
The Ithaca College women’s soccer team came out of Senior Day at Carp Wood Field with an unbelievable win over the Clarkson Golden Knights by a score of 1–0 Oct. 7.
It was a physical game from the start as the Ithaca College women's soccer team completed a 2–0 win against the Nazareth Golden Flyers in a non-conference game Sept. 16 on Carp Wood Field.Â
