On Nov. 5, downtown Ithaca held its first Ithaca Brunch Festival. The event included food vendors such as Om Nom Nomelettes.
The development corporation Unchained Properties LLC (UP) is currently finalizing agreements with the City of Ithaca to build a complex with housing, entertainment and restaurants in the former Emerson Transmission Power Plant property near the Ithaca College campus.

This past Sunday, a few students from the Girlstories Seminar, a friend of mine, Kate Schulman, and I visited the Ithaca Farmers Market.
Reconstruction of The Commons in downtown Ithaca began spring 2013 and was scheduled to finish on Nov. 21, but has been delayed until summer 2015. The delay has hurt some local businesses.
