The discussion was led by Kristen Clarke, president and executive director of the National Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

Recipients at the 2017 Izzy Awards included independent journalists Ari Berman, Rick Rowley, Shane Bauer and Seth Freed Wessler.
