Junior Amanda Rissmeyer led the way for the women’s indoor track and field team as they hosted the Bomber Pentathlon on Friday at Glazer Arena.
Rissmeyer won the pentathlon with 2,998 points. Following Rissmeyer was classmate Julia Schaeffer (2,479), senior Hannah Evans (2,434), sophomore Rachel Brown (2,286) and freshman Brittany Leafe (1,987).
Rissmeyer won three of the five pentathlon events and recorded a height of 1.68 meters in the high jump to qualify for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships. Junior Tammia Hubbard won the 60-meter hurdles event with an ECAC-qualifying time of 9.44 seconds.
Rissmeyer added performances of 9.79 seconds in the 60 hurdles, 10.51 meters in the shot put, 4.97 meters in the long jump and 3:07:15 in the 800 run.
The Bombers compete today at Cornell’s Denault Invitational at Barton Hall.
