On Nov. 2, “Framing Ménerbes,” a film created, directed, filmed, edited and choreographed by Daniel Gwirtzman, associate professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance Performance, had its premiere in Ithaca at Cinemapolis. UK alternative rock band Florence + The Machine continued to showcase its diverse array of talents with the release of its sixth studio album, “Everybody Scream,” on Oct. 31. It is an album that is an incredible display of the band’s talent in its production, lyrics and emotional themes that it performs in a span of 49 minutes.

Is there a price to partnership? If “Blue Moon,” the newest film from frequent collaborators Richard Linklater and Ethan Hawke is any indication, the price is a wonderful product. The film is remarkably simple, but it is brought to life by a finely-tuned script and excellent performances.
