Bond among goalkeepers strengthens men's soccer team

The Ithaca College men’s soccer team faces a unique challenge this season — choosing among five goalkeepers: juniors Bryson Shaull and Johannes Berghahn, sophomore Brayden Milbrandt, and first-year students Parker Giles and Paddy Eagan. The juniors and sophomore have started on goal.

"Be the Match" bone marrow drive supports college trustee

Every year, the Ithaca College Office of Intercollegiate Athletics hosts a “Be the Match” bone marrow drive to recruit potential blood stem cell donors. This year, the Sept. 19 drive took on an added significance, showing support for Jack Dembow ’77, a member of the Ithaca College Board of Trustees, who is in need of a bone marrow transplant.

Women's basketball alum takes coaching to the Division I level

On Sept. 13, Ithaca College women’s basketball legend Katherine Bixby ’10 was inducted into the Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame. However, the former All-American has continued to leave her mark on the women’s college basketball landscape, coaching at multiple levels. On Sept. 2 she accepted an assistant coaching position at the University of North Carolina.

On Sept. 16, over 200 people occupied the room all to see one man — Edward Glazer ’92, owner and co-chairman of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, an organization valued at approximately $5.4 billion. His family also owns Manchster United F.C.,an English Premier League team.

The Ithaca College men's soccer team fell to No. 10 SUNY Cortland as the Red Dragons took control early with sophomore defender Jake Chung leading the charge to a 2-1 victory.
Joe Fitzgerald '93 was the starting quarterback during his time with Ithaca College. This past summer, Fitzgerald was one of 120 religious chaplains invited to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

During his time at Ithaca College, Joe Fitzgerald ’93 led his football team to its third and most recent national title in 1991 as quarterback. Since then, he was a member of the 1996 United States Olympic handball team and was inducted to the college’s Hall of Fame in 2017, all while serving the Catholic seminary since 2001.

Despite dominating almost every facet of the Sept. 17 game, the Ithaca College women’s soccer team drew 0-0 against the Alfred University Saxons at Carp Wood Field.
