1. The Department of Writing will hold a talk by poet Elizabeth Willis at 6 p.m. today in the Handwerker Gallery. Willis is visiting for the Distinguished Visiting Writers Series. She has published several books of poetry and is the Shapiro-Silverberg Professor of Creative Writing at Wesleyan University.
2. Ithaca College Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow will host National Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in Emerson Suites. Students who attend can write thank you notes to college donors and, in return, receive free ice cream. President Tom Rochon will be giving out ice cream during the event.
