FIRE ALARM ACCIDENTAL

Location: Circle Apartments Building 111 / 111 College Circle

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Charlie Sherman, fire and building safety coordinator, responded and determined the activation was caused by burnt food.

 

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / ILLNESS RELATED

Location: Tower Concourse / 147 Tower Skyline Drive

Summary: Caller reported that a person was feeling dizzy and vomiting. The person declined medical assistance from ambulance staff and was transported to the health center. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded. 

 

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / ILLNESS RELATED

Location: Campus Center / 113 Campus Center Way

Summary: Caller reported a person was moving slowly and having difficulty answering questions. The person declined medical assistance from ambulance staff. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded. 

 

PETIT LARCENY UNDER $50

Location: Phillips Hall / 113 Campus Center Way

Summary: Caller reported a person stole a shirt. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded and restricted that person from the campus. This is a pending investigation.

 

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / INJURY RELATED

Location: Hill Center / 134 Conservatory Drive

Summary: Caller reported that a person fainted. The person declined medical assistance from ambulance staff. Patrol Officer Alex Hitchcock responded.

 

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / INJURY RELATED

Location: U-Lot / north of 113 Campus Center Way

Summary: Sergeant Bryan Verzosa reported injuring knuckle. First aid was provided and additional medical assistance was declined.

 

OFFCAMPUS INCIDENT

Location: ALL OTHER / OTHER

Summary: Caller reported an unknown person called them a racial slur. This person was advised to report the incident to the Ithaca Police Department. Patrol Officer Alex Hitchcock responded. This is a pending investigation.

V&T LICENSE VIOLATIONS (ALL)

Location: Lower Quad / General Area Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Patrol Officer Matthew Patire reported that a wallet was turned in as found property and contained fictitious driver’s licenses. The person responsible was referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards.

 

SCC COLLEGE REGULATIONS

Location: Campus Center Quad / E. Of 113 Campus Center Way

Summary: Caller reported people were selling clothing without a permit. Officer Matthew Patire advised four people of the proper procedure.

 

WELFARE CHECK

Location: Terrace 6 / 104 Flora Brown Drive

Summary: Caller reported that a person did not make two appointments. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa determined that the person was not an imminent threat to themselves.

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded and determined that the activation was caused by burnt food.

 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 4TH DEGREE

Location: Bogart Hall / 334 Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported an unknown person damaged mail lockers. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded. This is a pending investigation. 

 

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE

Location: Alumni Hall / 106 Alumni Circle

Summary: Caller reported a grocery order was delivered to the wrong address and an unknown person took them inside the building. The person took the groceries for safekeeping and they were turned over to the rightful owner. Master Patrol Officer Robert Jones responded.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / INJURY RELATED

Location: Hill Center / 134 Conservatory Drive

Summary: Caller reported that they injured their shoulder Sept. 29 during a self-defense course. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

Location: Ceracche Athletic Center / 125 Conservatory Drive

Summary: Caller reported back pain and feeling faint. The person was transported to Hammond Health Center. Patrol Officer Kevin McClain responded.

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by an unknown person smoking. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

ACCIDENTAL PROPERTY DAMAGE

Location: Bogart Hall / 334 Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported damage to a door and handle. Patrol Officer Dana Malcolm responded and determined the damage was accidental.

Summary: SImplex reported a fire alarm. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis responded and determined the activation was caused by burnt food. 

 

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / ILLNESS RELATED

Location: Tallcott Hall / 286 Lyceum Drive

Summary: The Tompkins County 911 Center reported a person with abdominal pain. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May responded.

 

October 7

SCC IRRESPONSIBLE USE OF ALCOHOL/DRUGS

Location: Clarke Hall / 406 Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported that a person was asleep on the floor. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May responded and determined that the person was intoxicated and did not require medical assistance. The person was referred to the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards for irresponsible use of alcohol.

Location: Tallcott Hall / 286 Lyceum Drive

Summary: Caller reported that their abdominal pain was continuing/worsening. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance staff for a second time. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded.

Location: Bogart Hall / 334 Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported that an unknown person damaged a vending machine and stole products. Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded. This is a pending investigation.

Summary: Caller reported a person had an anxiety attack. The person declined medical assistance. Patrol Officer Dana Malcolm responded.
