I’ve always been pretty good at eating breakfast at the start of my day: My dad taught me that you need to fuel yourself up in the morning or else you won’t be able to focus, or have energy to do much.  It stems from the “eat for what you’re about to do, and not what you just did” saying.
When you’re choosing what to get for breakfast, I always think about what I’m doing that day. Â This week I started waking up at 7am for my 8am MWF class (I can’t believe that either), so I could have breakfast before, and go to the gym after. Â On those mornings I get an egg white omelet stuffed with veggies, mixed cheese and a meat. On other mornings where IÂ plan on taking a nap after class instead, I make oatmeal with brown sugar, cinnamon and sliced bananas. Â Oatmeal has a lot of good nutrients, but for me, it’s on the less filling side.
This post stems from yesterday morning where I ended up going to the gym because I had potatoes and a bagel with butter.  I know I would have regretted the breakfast if I didn’t end up using the energy later; now I’m able to enjoy the fact that I had a perfectly toasted bagel!
