MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / PSYCHOLOGICAL

Location: Hammond Health Center / 117 Campus Center Way

Summary: Caller reported a person was taken into custody under mental hygiene law and transported to the hospital by ambulance. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis responded.

 

V&T LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT

Location: S-Lot / 300-400 Even Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Caller reported an unknown vehicle damaged a parked vehicle and left the scene.  Patrol Officer Connor McCoy responded. This is a pending investigation. 

 

FIRE ALARM ACCIDENTAL

Location: Terrace 9 / 110 Flora Brown Drive

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by an air freshener. Patrol Officer Steven Hutchison responded.

Location: Terrace 4 / 100 Flora Brown Drive

Summary: Caller reported a person with severe chest pains and difficulty breathing. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Sergeant John Elmore responded.

SCC FIREARM, FIREWORK, DANGEROUS SUBSTANCE OR WEAPON

Location: Circle Apartments Building 170 / 170 College Circle

Summary: During state fire safety inspections, staff reported finding a sword. The person was referred to conduct. Patrol Officer Kevin McClain responded.

 

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OTHER WEAPON

Location: Garden Apartment 25 / 138 Grant Egbert Boulevard East

Summary: During state fire safety inspections, staff reported finding a dagger. The person was referred to conduct. Patrol Officer Jordan Bartolis responded. The people responsible were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

Location: Garden Apartment 28 / 132 Grant Egbert Boulevard East

Summary: Caller reported an unknown person damaged a vehicle’s tire. Patrol Officer Alex Hitchcock responded. This is a pending investigation.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OTHER WEAPON

Location: Emerson Hall / 127 Grant Egbert Boulevard East

Summary: During state fire safety inspection, staff reported finding a dagger. The person responsible was referred to conduct. Patrol Officer Matthew Patire responded. The people responsible were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

 

CHECK ON THE WELFARE

Location: O-Lot / N Of 318 Grant Egbert Boulevard

Summary: Caller reported a person left a note that referenced self-harm.  Officer determined person was not an imminent danger to themselves. Patrol Officer Matthew Patire responded and provided assistance.

Summary: Caller reported a two-car property damage motor vehicle accident. Patrol Officer Matthew Patire responded.

Location: Circle Apartments Building 185 / 185 College Circle

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by burnt food. Master Patrol Officer Sophia Dimkos responded.

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. The activation was caused by burnt food. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

Summary: Officer reported an unknown person damaged door of a washing machine. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded. This is a pending investigation.

Summary: Caller reported vomiting and feeling feverish. The person declined medical assistance. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

Location: Williams Hall / 131 Textor Circle

Summary: Caller reported an unknown person stole headphones. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded. This is a pending investigation. 

 

Oct. 27

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE / INJURY RELATED

Location: Grant Egbert Blvd. / Roadway Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: EH&S staff reported person tripped on a curb, fell, and injured their knee. First aid was provided and the person declined further medical assistance. Fire Protection Specialist Enoch Perkins responded.

SCC IRRESPONSIBLE USE OF ALCOHOL

Location: Garden Apartment 27 / 134 E. Grant Egbert Blvd.

Summary: Tompkins County 911 center received a report of an intoxicated person. the person was taken into custody under mental hygiene law, transported to the hospital by ambulance and referred to conduct. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May responded and the people responsible were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Summary: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Unknown cause for the activation. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May responded

Summary: Simplex reported fire alarm. The activation was caused by people smoking. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May responded.

Summary: Simplex reported fire alarm. The activation was caused by persons smoking cannabis. Two people referred to conduct. Patrol Officer Thaddeus May responded and the people responsible were referred to the Office of Student Conduct.

Location: J-Lot / S Of 143-151 Tower Skyline Drive

Summary: Caller reported a crack in vehicle’s window. The officer was unable to determine the cause of the damage. Patrol Officer Alex Hitchcock responded.
