Center for Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging hosts open house
The Center for Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging invites members of the college community to attend an open house from 12–1 p.m. Oct. 24 in Job Hall. The open house recognizes the center’s launch on July 1 as part of Ithaca Forever, the college’s five-year strategic plan. The event allows students, faculty and staff to meet the center’s staff and eat afternoon snacks. Department of Chemistry hosts weekly speaker series
The Department of Chemistry is hosting a weekly Chemistry and Biochemistry Seminar Series at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesdays in Room 115 in the Center for Natural Sciences. The series will feature speakers who present their research, career paths and chemistry and biochemistry experiences. Individuals can visit the Department of Chemistry’s website to view a full list of speakers and access a Zoom link to join the presentations. The college will test the IC Alert Emergency Notification System (ENS) and Outdoor Warning System (OWS) during the noon hour Sept. 21. The ENS shares information and instructions during an emergency through voice, e-mail and text messages. These notifications are delivered automatically to active college email accounts: student, faculty and staff phone numbers provided to the college through the Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) system and office telephones listed in the directory.
